MOM currently lists monthly rates of $300 for a first helper, $450 for subsequent helpers and $60 at the concessionary rate. Check MOM before relying on these figures because rates and criteria may change.
Who may qualify for the $60 concession
Qualifying households generally include an eligible young Singapore citizen child, an eligible elderly person or an eligible person with disabilities living in the household. The specific citizenship, age, relationship, address and assessment requirements differ.
One eligible person, one concession
MOM states that the concession is granted for one helper per eligible person and is capped at two helpers per household. A second concession requires a second eligible person.
Levy is not CPF
Employers do not pay CPF contributions for an MDW, but must pay the applicable monthly levy. Payment obligations continue until the Work Permit is cancelled or expires, subject to applicable waiver rules.
