Everyday basics
- Singapore’s emergency police number is 999.
- Keep your Work Permit, passport details, IPA and employment agreement secure.
- Use legal pedestrian crossings and follow traffic signals.
- Ask before photographing or posting information about your employer’s home or family.
- Do not share Singpass, bank passwords, OTP codes, ATM cards or SIM cards.
Communication at home
Ask when you do not understand an instruction. Tell your employer early if you are unwell, overwhelmed or worried. Discuss routines, meals, rest days, phone use and household privacy clearly.
Money and scam safety
Ignore unsolicited loan offers on WhatsApp, Telegram, TikTok, Facebook or Instagram. A licensed moneylender must verify a borrower in person at its approved business location. Call ScamShield at 1799 if uncertain.
